Detail from: Memorial to 158 Squadron by Peter W. Naylor, 2009

Admiral Rodney

Type Other

Wooden, polychromed bust, cut off at the arms. Depicts Admiral Rodney wearing a wig and naval uniform with neck piece.
Commissioned by Scottish and Newcastle after they took over the previously managed pub. According to the barmaid at time of visit the work was unpopular with locals who succeeded in getting the bust turned around as they felt it stared into their homes.
