(Former) Newark Corn Exchange

Two seated figures either side of a column tower. Facing right (as the viewer looks) is a nude male holding a sheaf of corn in his right hand; left figure, facing left, is a nude, bearded figure holding a horn of plenty under his left arm. Four sheaves of corn between the tops of the three round arches. In the arches ae scalloped shells with sheaves of corn. Swags hand over the roundels. Original ironwork still extant: two boot scrapers and two ornate armatures for signs to be hung either side of the doors. The railings have been lost, however.
