Statue of Henry V


Type Statue

     Figure of Henry V in robes and crown, holding aloft 'staff' in right hand. Shield upright on ground to rear of figure,
     Shire Hall was built in 1724 and the statue of Henry V was added in 1729. The building is listed Grade 1.
     'Harry of Monmouth', Henry V, was born at Monmouth Castle in 1387.


Raised letters on base of statue: HENRY V / BORN AT MONMOUTH / AUG 9TH 1387
