     Slate topped stone with large slate tablet with inscription inset on one side, a smaller one on the other.
          Mathew Williams (1876 - 1964) was a local 'country' poet.


Incised on slate tablet; letters painted white: I GOFIO / MATHEW WILLIAMS / (MATHEW BACH) / TY'N Y MERDDYN, CAERGEILIOG / BARDDD GWLAD / 1876 - 1964 / "Pryd bynnag daw y daith I ben, / I uno a'r llu tu draw I'r llen, / Cael bedd ddymunwn I pryd hyn / Yn ymyl mam yn mhridd Rhyd Wyn." / TO REMEMBER / MATHEW WILLIAMS / COUNTRY POET Incised on small slate tablet on other side of stone: Dim Rhodio mwyach ger y llyn / Dim Tyn-y-Merddyn mwy.
