Kate's Bears


Type Sculpture

     Three large bears set on concrete base. Family group with father, mother and baby bear. All standing upright looking out across grass to main road. Mother bear wearing necklace and dress!
     Kate's Bears was commissioned by the Welsh Arts Council in 1973 and presented to St. Dials Infants School in June 1975. The school used to be called St. Dials Infants Three Bears School. The name was changed in 1991 to Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbran.
