Type Relief

     Strong relief in central pediment. City arms in a cartouche on a floral background with fruit. Urns above; floral detail to dormers. Attic extension on south-east fa├žade of building has copper relief in pediment: floral with fruit and roundel containing the date 1881. Pineapple pinnacle above.
          Buildings of England says "it replaced the old Farringdon Market for fruit and vegetables, but was soon turned over to meat".
