THE SCULPTURE JOURNAL

'Spirit of Woman'
James Woodford, 1932-4
RIBA building, London

The Sculpture Journal was first published by the PMSA in September 1997. It provides an international forum for writers and scholars in the field of post-classical sculpture and public commemorative monuments in the Western tradition. The Sculpture Journal provides a keen critical overview and a sound historical base, and is Britain's foremost scholarly journal devoted to sculpture in all its aspects. Periods covered extend to public and private commissions for present-day sculptors. Whilst being relatively academic and traditional, the SJ encourages contributions of fresh research from new names in the field.
