Arnold Leisure Centre relief

Type Sculpture

Three large scale figures are formed out of a number of cut metal sheets bolted to the wall of the leisure centre. They represent swimmers, one male and two females, and suggest movement from left to right. On the left the side of the pool is indicated with a ladder. The latter is in a wavy form to suggest its immersion in water. The water itself is indicated by lengths of blue, rubber tubing. The female figure to the right wears a decorated bathing cap.
