Summary

Type Fountain

     Stone fountain "in shape of a pepper pot" with smooth arched recess in centre of one side with bowl. Chain and cup missing. Animal trough at foot of fountain. Two bronze inscription plaques.
          The Reverend W. Venables-Williams was vicar of the parish of Llandrillo-yn-Rhos for 31 years from 1869 - 1900.

Inscription in raised letters on two bronze plaques on front and back of fountain: THIS MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN / WAS SUBSCRIBED FOR BY FRIENDS IN RECOGNITION / OF THE MANY PUBLIC SERVICES RENDERED BY / THE REV. W. VENABLES-WILLIAMS, M.A. OXON., J.P., / DURING THE 31 YEARS HE WAS THE VICAR OF THE / PARISH OF LLANDRILLO-yn-RHOS. / 1869 - 1900.
