Landmark

Summary

Type Sculpture

From 'The Bay and other Artwalks': "The artist's colourful and striking additions create a unique and memorable landmark in the centre of a previously unremarkable site. Strong three-dimensional geometric forms covered with standard road traffic signs are matched with the topiary shapes of the surrounding evergreen shrubs. The sculpture's reflective surfaces light up when caught in passing car headlights and have helped to earn it the popular title Magic Roundabout."
Cardiff Bay Arts Trust was established in 1990 as part of a policy on public art set out by Cardiff Bay Development Corporation. Over the first decade CBAT has worked with public institutions, private corporations and with the local community to enrich the experience for those who visit, live and work in the area. Following the wind up of CBDC, Cardiff Bay Arts Trust became CBAT The Arts & Regeneration Agency and continues to operate UK wide and internationally.
