A Drover

Summary

Type Sculpture

     Standing male figure dressed in long coat and hat of a drover. Holding metal crook in right hand and supporting bird against chest with left hand. Further bird leaning against lower part of figure on right-hand side. Set on circular cobbled base.
     The work was commissioned by the local Millennium Committee.
     The statue commemorates one of the drovers' roads which passed through the village.
