Charles Holden medallion

Summary

     The bas-relief medallion, 15cms in diameter is set flush into the plaster wall. In the profile portrait Holden has a moustache goatee beard. He is facing to the left and he wears spectacles, jacket, collar and tie. His hair is worn short.
     This small bronze, dated 1950, was positioned almost half a century after Holden was awarded the commission for his highly regarded design of the Bristol Central Library.
