Mother and Child
The seated figure is treated naturalistically, having a contented expression and is raised on a bricked section which forms the courtyard's garden. The work is a reddish brown colour, and the cement like material has been left coarsely modelled.
This was Bridgeman's third sculpture in Birmingham to be based on the theme of motherhood.
