Thread Through Time
Carved and painted cone which emits a laser beam up some 6 metres up into the night sky. The cone which is made of cast recycled concrete, brick and stone, is carved with scenes representing Coventry's history.
Chosen by the people of Coventry from a range of models exhibited in the Escom shop in the Bull Yard for two weeks in June 1998, where Steve Field from the Dudley Public Art Unit was on hand to explain the proposals and encourage the public to complete short questionnaires. (1)
