Decorative Arches


Type Panel

     This set of arches are placed over a pedestrian passageway, they each depict scenes from Medieval life. The scenes are; the arming of a knight; a Medieval troopship; gathering the harvest; four shepherds and a star; a fourteenth century windmill with miller; cumulating in a shield-like arch with the name 'Long Entry' above three circles which are above two heraldic lions.


On both sides of each arch in turn: LONG ENTRY A Mediaeval/ Troopship Gathering/ the Harvest The Shepherds/ and the star A C14th/ Windmill LONG/ ENTRY
