Barnard Castle Drinking Fountain


Type Fountain

     At the road's edge a sandstone drinking fountain beneath a stone tiled canopy and with pink granite pilasters at each corner. Stone basins feature on the north and south faces and dog basins on east and west faces. Electric lamp added to apex.


Inscribed in canopy on north and south face: 1874
